Grant Harrison, CEO of The Future Customer, has extensive experience partnering with brand and business leaders to build their customer loyalty, customer service, and customer engagement and communications.
Mr. Harrison has led consumer marketing efforts for some of Britain’s most progressive and customer-focused businesses, including Sky Television, Dunnhumby, Vodafone, and Harrods. He built and managed the team that launched Tesco Clubcard, the UK’s most successful rewards program.
In the U.S., Mr. Harrison set up Virgin Healthmiles and served as Vice President of Consumer Innovation at Humana in Louisville, Kentucky. At Humana, his team brought "health entertainment" alive with the launches of B-Cycle, the public bike-sharing company (established as a joint venture with Trek), and Games4Health. Upon returning to the UK in 2010, he founded The Future Well, a health customer innovation consultancy, with Dr. Jay Parkinson. The Future Well worked with the National Health Service and Sanofi Aventis, and launched Sherpaa, a New York-based, venture capital-backed digital healthcare company.
Grant has a master’s degree (with Distinction) in commerce from the University of Otago and a bachelor’s degree in physical education and commerce from the University of Otago. Awards include: 2013 Kea World Class New Zealander, 2006 Precision Marketing UK Marketer of the Decade (runner-up), 1996 International Advertising Age Marketing Superstar, 1997 UK Database Marketer of the Year, 1989 Cadbury, Schweppes Prize for Best Marketing Student at Otago University, and the 1982 American Field Service Scholarship.
