With nearly 20 years of experience, Haider applies advanced energy analytics to solve complex problems for utility clients.

Haider is a specialist in econometric and energy modeling, simulation, and optimization for utility and policy analytics. With nearly 20 years of experience, his skill set includes distributed energy resources, demand-side management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. He helps utility clients understand the energy potential of customer programs and assists in the design, implementation, and evaluation of these programs. Haider also supports utility companies in regulatory filings, testifying in several jurisdictions.

Haider assists various state and federal government entities, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of Energy (DOE), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in developing multiple energy policies. This includes the EPA’s ENERGY STAR, the DOE’s Building Energy Asset Score, and various international development policies for USAID.

As Energy Analytics lead, Haider ideates, plans, and steers the development of several energy analysis tools. These tools include our building energy console, BeaconTM; DER InsightTM; CoSightTM; and the BETTER tool developed in collaboration with Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory that won the R&D 100 Award.

Haider leads the distributed energy resources (DER) analytics team that conducts residential, commercial, and industrial energy modeling, data analytics, econometric modeling, and software development. He’s also responsible for all aspects of utility customer programs, including potential studies, program design, implementation, and evaluation.

Haider’s skills include specialization in the use of modeling, simulation, optimization, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and applying cloud infrastructure to scale up analytics.
